Geocache Description:

DO NOT ACCESS FROM SPRINGDALE AVE!!! Enter from Harrison Ave. Please park at the below coords during school hours. You can/should also take the trail from the first cache (Micro and Picnic) to the second cache placed here (Ruins).

This is located near the edge of St. Bernard's Gottesaker Est. 1881. PLEASE BE CAREFUL around the cache site. There is a lot of very old debris, a good portion of it is old metal. Not sure exactly what this is..., old farm house? Burial Vault? any ideas?!?!?

St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church was founded in 1867 to serve Catholics in western Hamilton County in the area of Taylor Creek and Twelve Mile. It is said that George and Catherine Wingerter, who operated the Twelve Mile House, donated about three acres of land for the church. The original church was 30 by 50 feet, constructed of stone gathered from nearby creeks. The parish's second church, with Edward J. Schulte as architect, was erected in 1936.

If you follow the link you can see a picture of the church in 1897.
