Geocache Description:

Leighton-Linslade is a parish made up of two townships. Leighton Buzzard itself is well known as a quarry town (as well as having a "Gossards" factory and a large fork-lift truck manufacturers). Linslade itself is mainly residential. Many of the caches cover what is now regarded as "Old Linslade" which is where a lot of the original village stood.

If you wish to do this as a trail here's how I did it! and here's the list of caches!

Leighton-Linslade Coat of Arms

Before being brought together under a single Town Council, Linslade was in Buckinghamshire and Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. An urban series of caches celebrating the history of Leighton-Linslade will be published soon.

The Leighton-Linslade Trail is an approximately 6 mile circular walk. Some parts of may can be done as a "cache-n-dash" and others can be picked off as mini-walks. Either way, it's up to you how you play the game!

The walk involves urban and rural walks, canals and fields. Children should be kept on leads and dogs and other family will (at many points) need to be watched carefully. Like all caches, there are dangers and pitfalls that may need to be addressed. None of these caches are in dangerous places (hopefully) although some are near water (not too near!)

This cache has been set along the Ouzel Valley Way. This covers land around the River Ouzel (which in parts can be quite wide) and often in between the Ouzel and the Grand Union canal which runs in parallel.
Much of this walk also incorporates (in parts) the Greensand Ridge Walk. This is a 40 mile walk from Leighton Buzzard to Gamlingay in Cambridgeshire.

This cache is a CLIPLOCK BOX. It is particularly difficult to find due to 2 things: The Colour and the Location. Unfortunately, when you get to Ground Zero, you may have trouble finding the exact spot. Please be patient!

Any feedback on the box will be welcomed. Please ensure that it is replaced as found
