The following is an extract from a diary, found in the effects of an Egyptologist, long after the suntan faded…
… We were at the rear of the party, and our few torches barely lit the West passage, but even so it was possible to make out faint paintings on the walls. All the old kings, in a parade of history, stretched in front of us:
Sekhen, Narmer, Semerkhet, Ka, Sekhemkhet, Nebhka, Anedjib, Ninetjer…
The rest of the Diary held little of interest and a lot of sand, but there was one small scrap of parchment with a few scribbles on it…
An Indiana Jones or a Lara Croft may be able to make something of it…
