Geocache Description:

Another camoed micro...

In the Star Trek Voyager episode called "Tuvix", two members of the crew, Neelix and Tuvok, are beaming aboard the ship with some plant samples, and through a transporter mishap they are merged into one person. This one person has the memories of both of the crew members, and eventually comes up with the name "Tuvix" for himself. The rest of the episode is spent trying to figure out either 1) how to separate these two crew members and the plant samples back into their original forms, or 2) should they really "kill" Tuvix just to get the other two crew members back.

Do you know what you get when you combine a crazy Texas geocacher with the Texas state flower? I went online and found a couple web sites with information, including Wikipedia and 50 States.com. Know the answer? Think a minute...

If you break it down, you need to know that the Texas state flower is a lupin, or lupine. Some geocachers are definitely crazier than others, and the term "crazy" in Spanish is "loco". Thus the term, and geocacher, Loco Lupine.

Why him? He's the cacher that put together the original container that was hidden here, and he's also the cacher that gave me the idea for the replacement container's camo. Fortunately for you, I hid it. That means it should be an easy find for you, but the camo should keep it from being muggled.

The original container was an ammo box that Loco had camoed, that I'd won way back at his Halloween event. This container got muggled when the City of Carrollton put in the new walking trail through this area. The original hiding place is well within ten feet of the new sidewalk. The new container is a micro, a few feet from the original location. Still within ten feet of the trail, it looks like the best parking for this one is just north of here. It is definitely much easier to get to now.

There's a lot of mixed emotions at the end of the given Trek episode, but Captain Janeway sums it up with a simple, "Mr. Tuvok, Mr. Neelix, good to have you back." Fortunately for us, we get to keep ours together, and you will enjoy this geocache. See best warp speed, and engage.
