Geocache Description:

In recognition of the 6th Annual International CITO Day on April 19th,

please help us clean up ...

hauling signal signal

Kaloko Beach and the adjacent Inlet!

Those familiar with the The Bridge to Nowhere (GCW0KM) know that it could be renamed A Bridge over Troubled Water.

32

Underneath this bridge a mecca for "street artists" can be found and the fragile environment is being polluted at an alarming rate.

1

Although a few concerned cachers have continued an ongoing CITO and paint out effort in this area, time and resources are scarce and the critical deep cleaning work never gets done. The tides come in underneath the bridge and regularly carry away countless spray cans and other harmful human-made materials out into the ocean. Working against these factors, there is very little a few individuals can do to make a big difference.

Let's make a significant positive impact with a very strong team effort!

This will be one of the most extensive cleanups ever attempted in this area.

There will be tasks for every level of ability, from a shoreline trash pick-up and a graffiti paint-out,
to a water team that will go into the inlet and eradicate the difficult to retrieve trash.

Here's what you should bring with you:
