Off the Map in Lackawanna Multi-Cache

My goal was to get as far into a blank spot on the map as possible while still in Lackawanna.
Well, since my other caches are fairly easy, I wanted to make this one a little more of a challenge. Depending on the time of year and the route you take,there may be several creek crossing involved in reaching the final cache. Any water is shallow. ATVs cross it regularly. In winter it is frozen and in the heat of summer there is no creek to cross. When I placed it there was only one ten foot stretch of ice. It can be reached from other routes without crossing water at all. My 12 and 9 year olds came along for placement, so the walk is no great challenge but set aside at least an hour for this cache. The first stop is a micro size container with only the coordinates to the final cache. Since high snow could obscure it's hiding spot I have provided a detailed description of it's location in the hints section if needed. Parking is available at several locations but I used N 42 48.593 W 078 49.165
I have discovered that cachers have found numerous approaches to this difficult cache. Sometimes of year one is better than another. I have also heard some folks have found the cache unreachable. Let me assure you that there is always a manageable approach that will work in any weather and regardless of creek depth. Keep looking and be flexible.
