Cache of the Lake Traditional Cache
Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

A regular-sized cache placed near a peaceful Lake Merced picnic area.
I always thought this place deserves a cache, so now, it has one. Some will recognize this container. Lake Merced is a very busy place. There's golfing, fishing, rowing, jogging, eating, etc. Now there's caching.
You barely need to step off trail. There are barely any muggles near the actual cache, so you don't have to be super-sneaky. Please push the cache back in the exact place you found it. There is enough room for swag, TBs, and coins, so feel free to drop off trackables. I think the area is open from 5 AM to 9 PM daily. No big thorns, but some semi-spiky needle-like things kept on poking me in the neck when I placed the cache. Find the cache, get a laugh from the wheelchair-accessible ramp heading straight into the lake, then enjoy the area!
