The cache is situated to the west of
the small market town of Toddington in an area surrounding Herne
Grange. The first location can be approached from various
footpaths; the quickest route is via the farm road to Herne Grange
which starts opposite Herne Manor Farm. There is room to park a car
at the start of this road, co-ordinates
N51° 57.384' W000° 33.290'. This
approach is not suitable for wheelchairs though, AND it can get
muddy.
On a clear day you get nice views over rolling countryside and even
better... Toddington is certainly the place for a refreshing
pit-stop with its good selection of hostelries.
You are looking for a well camouflaged 'Lok & Lok' type box
containing log book, pen and a selection of swappable goodies for
all ages.
To find the actual cache, however, you will first have to find a
small black container that's hidden at the quoted co-ordinates. In
this container you will find instructions for locating the final
cache.
Have fun and if you detect a slightly devious streak... well, ok
