A “Ferry” small cache The Chester Ferry area is a great spot to view eagles and their habitat. This tiny cache marks the 9th annual Ct Audubon Society’s Eagle Festival. The 2 day festival draws upwards of 20,000 visitors. Don’t forget your binoculars or spotting scope when looking for this one. Eagles will roost directly across, on the Hadlyme side. Seals have been spotted in the area, also. You can bring a fishing pole and toss out some tackle for catfish, and stripers. Spring time, schooly stripers will move in and out of the area. This is a great warm up to the caches on the other side of the river. Please place back exactly where you’ve found it. DON'T FORGET TO BRING A PENCIL, OR PEN!! Replaced the log: 5-29-08
