This is a series of seven Traditional Caches that take you along a stretch of the Severn Way walk. It took us 4 hours to hide the caches and to check all the coordinates, but it took us only an hour to walk back to Newtown, just as an indication for you how long it might take you to find them all!
This series is intended to de done in one, there are short cuts to some of the caches, but that is not our intention. In each cache description we will start were the last cache stopped.

We consider ourselves to be experienced walkers. As a crow flies there and back is about 6 miles, but there is a lot hills and even more stiles, and depending on the weather the ground can be hard baked or knee deep in snow. The caches are all in plastic boxes in camouflage bags, getting bigger in size as you progress. They blend in very well, so sometimes you may be looking at a cache without knowing it. Please look at all spoiler photos and try to use the cachers extra sense. When we checked the coordinates they were fairly accurate, but that changes sometimes. We don’t want cachers to go back home feeling let down. We didn’t make this series to test cachers, we want them to come to this area and enjoy the stunning views.
Come down from “220m” and head left along Fachwen pool. (Also the board walk does not belong to our cache walk but it is a fine pick nick location.) Cross one stile, then when the next stile comes cross it and follow the little path on your right into the gorse bushes. Take about 5 paces. The cache is under a fallen rotting tree. Be careful this one is very prickly, there are lots of gorse bushes about. You should be ok getting the cache out, but all the same be careful and keep an eye on the kids.
Once you finished this one head on for the final one along the Severn Way.
