DEL LAGO DI ALSERIO

          

La Riserva, oltre ad essere un luogo affascinante, particolarmente indicato per passare alcune ore all'aria aperta, e' uno dei pochi e rari siti dove risiedono la tartaruga palustre e la rana Lataste, oltre a specie acquatiche stanziali come svassi, germani, gallinelle d’acqua, folaghe e tante altre varietà di uccelli nella zona dei canneti dal tarabusino al voltolino agli aironi, ecc.
La Riserva fa parte del Parco della Valle del Lambro e nel 1999 il Parco ha ricevuto dalla Commissione Europea e dalla Regione Lombardia, un finanziamento per realizzare un progetto di recupero ambientale del Lago di Alserio. Per informare le scuole dei contenuti di questo grosso intervento è nata una proposta rivolta a studenti dalla classe quarta in su, alle scuole medie inferiori e superiori, con l’obiettivo fondamentale di sensibilizzare gli alunni sull"importanza di conservare la natura e il far capire il modo in cui la scienza possa essere strumento della conservazione della natura, in collaborazione con i ricercatori coinvolti nel progetto di recupero.
