Apresento-lhe uma cache para levar a sua cara metade, namorada(o) ou amiga(o) especial. Com efeito o romance vai estar no ar, tanto assim que o pode atrapalhar na busca da cache, mas veja lá a figurinha que vai fazer, não deixe os geocachers ficar com má fama. Aqui vale tudo menos rogar-me pragas ou arrancar cabelos.

I present to you a cache to take your wife / husband, your girlfriend / boyfriend or a special friend. The romance will be in the air, so much so that can get in the way to find the cache, but pay attention don't make a fool of yourself and don't let the geocachers be bad mouthed. Here everything goes except saying bad things about me or tear your hair.

Casa Tait

A Casa Tait foi residência de várias famílias inglesas, ficando na posse de William Tait, negociante abastado ligado ao Vinho do Porto e estudioso da fauna e flora. Sucedeu-lhe Miss Muriel Tait, a qual muito contribuiu para a vida cultural da cidade e que vendeu a propriedade ao município portuense, condicionando-lhe a função futura a "espaço verde publico". O edifício encontra-se inserido num amplo espaço verde, constituído por jardins e uma pequena mata, cujas reminiscências oitocentistas o integram no espaço romântico que ladeia a Rua de Entrequintas.

O Gabinete de Numismática possui uma das mais importantes e completas colecções do País, que tem vindo a representar um papel fundamental no estudo da numária grega, romana, hispânica, árabe e portuguesa. Possui ainda valiosas colecções de medalhas, cédulas, notas bancárias e senhas diversas, num total de várias dezenas de milhar de espécimes.

Museu Romântico

O Museu Romântico da Quinta da Macieirinha é a reconstituição de uma habitação burguesa do séc. XIX, situado numa zona afastada do centro da cidade de então. O seu enquadramento entre o jardim, o bosque e os antigos terrenos agrícolas, empresta-lhe o ambiente romântico que se começa a sentir ao descer a estreita Rua de Entrequintas. Este Museu pretende documentar e interpretar uma época importante na História da Cidade, um tempo em que o Porto tomou características muito próprias e no qual surgem vultos com grande projecção em várias áreas: cultural, politica e económica. Aqui passou os seus últimos dias, exilado, Carlos Alberto, Rei do Piemonte e da Sardenha, que veio a falecer a 28 de Julho de 1849. Com base em documentação gráfica da época, foi possível reconstituir dois compartimentos por ele habitados nos meses anteriores à sua morte, nomeadamente o quarto de dormir e a capela. A destacar também o gabinete de coleccionador, um quarto de crianças e o salão de baile. Este Museu guarda, desde 2005, o violoncelo Montagnana que pertenceu a Guilhermina Suggia.

Tait House

The Tait House or Quinta do Melo, harboured several English families, namely the one of William Tait, owner of this house since April 22nd 1900.

As a well succeeded dealer. he was involved with the business of Port Wine, also standing out for his interest in the flora and fauna, what can be seen in his book "The birds of Portugal" (London, 1924).

The portuense municipal district acquired this residence to Miss Muriel Tait that sold it under the condition of this becoming a public space.

The lovely green spaces, the beautiful view on river Douro, as well as its collection of magnificent flowers, are some of the uncountable reasons that incite to visit,

Romantic Museum

The museum, opened in 1972, is installed at a house in Quinta da Macieirinha, where the king of Sardenha, Carlos Alberto, lived the last days of his life.

The Romantic Museum offers a pleasant trip to the bougeois world of the 19th century Oporto, through a rigorous choice of objects of that time, such as pictures, bibelots, pieces of furniture, china, etc... It is divided in two floors where several rooms can be visited: "Dining Room", "Panel Room", "Dancing Living Room", "Room of the King".

Very near here we can visit the Solar do Vinho do Porto, a privileged place for those who appreciate the famous Port Wine.
