Geocache Description:

A short walk of about 10 minutes from the cruise ship docks.

As we were cruising up the Amazon, it seemed to us that this beautiful city of Santarem needed to have a cache so that the geocachers on the cruise ships would be able to have some place to find and to log their visit to Brazil. It also is a place where geocaching is in need of getting started so we decided to hide a cache in Santarem. We were able to get a local fellow who has published a fine book on the birds of the area as well as being a very knowledgeable guide to be our person to watch and maintain this cache. So enjoy this wonderful part of the world as you seek this cache. It is easy to get to but you have to be very cautious of mugglers. Good luck and good hunting.
