This is the 1st Billings Montana Geo-Bash Event. It is going to be held at Riverfront Park on the South side of Billings. This will be a one day event on Saturday, August 2, 2008. PLEASE, NO ALCOHOL or PETS allowed in the park.
When entering Billings on Interstate 90, take the South Billings Blvd exit South off of I-90. You will then follow the South Billings Blvd. road South about .7 mile and turn East (left) into Riverfront Park. Watch for sign.
If you plan to attend, please leave a note as to how many will be in your party. When you note that you are coming, please leave you first real name, handle, home town and state for each geocacher who plans to attend. Some of you may want to plan a 3 day weekend.
This will be an all day event filled with fun, meeting other cachers, contests, cache hunting and a great
B-B-Q.
***** General Schedule of events *****
1) Registration 8:00 am to 10:00 am (or later up to 2:30 for drawings) Register and meet others; ice breaker bingo game. Kids Korner activities, Ages 6-12 years.
2) Event hunt (Geo-Bash Clue Game multi) 10:30 am.
Or General open caching 10:30 to 2:30 pm
CITO Clean up as you cache in the park.
3) Lunch and B-B-Q 1:00pm to 2:30 pm
4) Prize drawings 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Master of Ceremony, Roger, RScout79. There will be a limit of (2) registration tickets per family & you must have a geo-cache handle & you must be present to win. There will also be a 50/50 raffle drawing.
5) Open time visiting or open caching 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
6) Event ends at 6:00 pm; Sign the Geo-Bash event log and tell us how you liked the event. Cache in the park on your own until dusk.
There will be a free meal and lots of new caches and FTF's that will come out that weekend. There will be a CITO clean up planned as well. And yes, lots of fun activities and prizes.
There are now about 370 caches within a 15 mile radius of Billings. There are also plans to have about 40 caches in the immediate area of Riverfront Park. We encourage every one in the region to come and have geo-fun at the Billings Geo-Bash.
