Knagur Green:

We have received a request to archive your cache page as the physical cache appears to be in need of maintenance and there has been no recent indication that timely maintenance may be forthcoming.

I'm temporarily disabling it, to give you an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary

You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to ensure it is in proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.) or posts a Needs Maintenance log. Temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have addressed the problem.

Please enable your cache by selecting 'enable' on the right hand side of the listing , once the cache has been replaced/repaired, or checked that it is still in situ.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center

If you no longer wish to maintain the cache then the listing should be archived.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you plan on repairing this cache, but cannot get to it within 30 days, please log a note to the cache page (not email) to let the community know

Thank you for understanding

Geocache Description:

The second cache on the Sea View series, which gives the searcher a lovely view of the Al Fahal island, the “black gold” loading buoys and the discreet fisherman village of Aint.

Approach: Take the Qurum to Muttrah road and follow the Darsait signposts. Take the Darsait road towards the sea, pass the two schools and three speed breakers. Turn right for the village of Aint (signposted). Turn left for the graded road leading to a local promenade. Parking places are abundant. The cache can be approached from different directions, we recommend the easier scrambling up on the southern side of the rock (N 23o37.987'; E 58o32.815'). Good shoes are needed, especially for the descent.
Location: The area offers, aside of nice views, the possibility to explore the village of Aint or the Darsait lagoon. This is the place where a sperm whale got stranded couple of weeks ago.

Cache: The cache is a regular size Tupperware type plastic box containing one pencil, one logbook, a pencil sharpener, a re-sealable pack of refreshing wet wipes ; since this cache theme is sea-related, you will find some sail boats and fishes 3-d mini-puzzles, shark-shaped bottle opener / key-ring. Glow-in-the-dark Smiley stickers are placed in the box as well, rewards for the finders...
