Star Trek fans will remember Mr. Spock for his Vulcan side and his logical approach to situations. You might need Spock's help to solve this logic problem and find the cache. Or maybe not, because we geocachers are a logical bunch, aren't we. Here is your problem to solve:
There are five different geocachers looking for five different caches in five different counties. Each cache has a different level of terrain and a different level of difficulty. The geocachers are Bad Duck, popop, Steve 'n' Nancy, knightcb, and Mackie; the counties are Curry, Coos, Douglas, Lane, and Lincoln; the levels of difficulty and terrain are 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Using the clues below, determine the county in which each cacher looked and the levels of difficulty and terrain of the caches they found.
1. The cacher who went to Lincoln County found a cache that was not a level 5 in difficulty. Steve 'n' Nancy found a cache that was not a level 3 in terrain. knightcb did not look in Coos County.
2. One of the caches has a level 3 in difficulty and a level 1 in terrain. The cacher who went to Lane County found a cache with a level 4 in terrain. It was either popop or Steve 'n' Nancy who went to Curry County.
3. The cache with a level 2 in terrain did not have a level 1 in difficulty. The cache in Curry County was not a level 3 in difficulty.
4. Bad Duck went to Douglas County and found a cache with a level 2 in difficulty. The cache popop found was not a level 1 in difficulty.
5. Mackie found a cache with a level 5 in terrain, but it did not have a level 4 in difficulty. Steve 'n' Nancy found a cache in Lane County.
6. The five cachers are represented by: Mackie, level 3 in terrain, level 1 in difficulty, knightcb, and Douglas County.
