We set off with snowshoes not knowing where we would end up.
After a short walk we came across a clearing and decided to take a
90 degree turn uphill (yes, hard to believe I know). I thought we
might catch a glimpse of Baltic Lookout from there, but instead we
caught a glimpse of Big Hill Lookout 
(and much more).
The clear cut area ended when we got to the ridge line. So did the
snow. 
It wasn't surprsing that the snow was on
the north side of the ridge, but it was surprising that there was 4
feet of snow just steps away in full sun and absolutely none in the
full shade. I guess you need to see for yourself 
.
Not sure what you'll find here in summer months, but I doubt it
will be as enticing as it is with snow. Hopefully the area is not
littered with trash.
Oh yeah, and Happy Birthday to Plazmo - in a couple of weeks
anyway .
