Sammy's Surprise Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

VORTracker: Instead of open desert (state, trust, etc), it appears this slice of desert is actually private property, and the owner has started putting up a fence around the area indicating so. Removed the cache because of this.

Geocache Description:

Sammy, our 5 year old son, wanted to hide a "treasure." This is his cache.

Our kids love to "hunt for treasure." One Saturday morning we asked the kids to find things from their room that they could put into the cache's we found. A few minutes later, our 5-year old autistic son Sam came to us with an entire tin, complete with items, and a log book he had made and placed inside a ziplock bag with a pencil. He didn't just want to find treasures that morning, he wanted to hide one as well. This cache is his "treasure."

Note: After you cross the irrigation ditch, instead of continuing down the dirt drive, immediately turn right and walk along the irrigation ditch for about 10-20 yards, then turn south into the desert. If you try to get to it from the dirt road you'll have to do a bit more bushwhacking (and fence climbing).
