This should be a quick little cache, in an area that was surprisingly barren of caches.
This is the first cache in my Faded Markers Series. This series will mainly focus on older, near forgotten burial plots of pioneers in the Niagara Region and beyond. The goal of this series is not necessarily the length of the walk nor the difficulty of the find, but rather a simple reverence for those who came before us to shape our area.
I figured it was about time to actually get one of my own caches out to be found by others. At the time of posting, I had only been caching for 2 months, but had enjoyed more than 200 Niagara Region caches placed by the various personalities in this area. I got so caught up in finding some of the superb hiding spots that people had found for their caches that I began to think that perhaps they were all taken. Apparently I was wrong...
This is one of my favourite locations for a cache since it was an area like this area that originally solidified geocaching as the hobby for me.
