Ericles: Out today with Monster-Truck picking up some of my caches. She stayed in the car for this one while I popped down the trail to make a quick grab. As usual, the drunk had left his hooch in the "secret" spot and once again I tossed it out. Found the cache in good shape and packed it out along with some of the trash. I'm tired of cleaning up after this slob so obviously it was time for this cache to go.

83 finds in 86 months, only one DNF (thanks to the one muggling). 71 franes in the "FTF" animation.

You are First To Find!
You can follow the posted coordinates or the "FTF Experience Coordinates" for more of a challenge.

On a recent attempt to be 1st I was inspired to recreate the FTF experience for other cachers who might not otherwise have the opportunity. What can you expect on a standard Central Jersey FTF hunt?

• The cache will be posted by someone you've never heard of & who has only a handful of finds.
• The difficulties will be too high and/or too low.
• There will be no attributes or parking waypoints.
• The closest parking will be of questionable legality.
• There will be no mention of bushwhack saving trail-head.
• Expect mud & thorns if not ticks & ivy.
• The clue, if there is one at all, will be more descriptive than the rest of the cache page.
• The coordinates will be off by many feet.
• "Camo" = Pile of sticks. "Well Hidden" = Big pile of sticks.
• You will not be informed that the trail is marked with red sign posts or that continuing down the trail after finding the cache brings you through a loop past the scenic pristine marsh flats of Whale Creek.

You'll find all of this (and more!) in the faux cache page below. Despite all of the challenges these hunts present, nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the thrill of the chase! To add to your fun try this during poison ivy season, at night or after precipitation. Please claim only one FTF prize & when you log it don't forget to write FTF! in your log!
