Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Confederate Solders Home! This is the first whereigo cache to be placed in the park. Whereigo offers a new twist to the geocaching game that we all enjoy. Please visit the whereigo website to learn more about how this works.

The coordinates on this cache page will get you into the park. The park is open from dawn until dusk. Admission to the park is free. There are lots of picnic areas and walking trails, so bring a picnic lunch with you and enjoy your stay. There is also a museum here that you can visit. There is an admission charge to visit the museum.

Once you have learned about whereigo and are ready to tackle this cache, you will need to download the game cartridge. This cartridge is loaded with information about a number of the historical sites within the park. When you get within range of these sites your PDA will display the information about the site.

Now that thats all said and done, here's where the geocaching aspect comes in. At one of the spots loaded in the game cartridge, there is a geocache hidden. You can't see the coordinates to the cache until you are physically in that zone. Once you are in the zone, you will be able to see an Item named "Geocache". This item will give you the coordinates to the cache, which is very close by. The cache is a magnetic key holder so bring your own pen.

Good luck!
