Everett Park Scenic Reserve Cave (Taranaki) Traditional Cache
The Rambling Duo: Inspection trip today and the cache not where we left it last time. Twice muggled.
Time to shut this one down.

The cache is a small container with about 1/3 litre capacity. It has been relocated due to the original being muggled.The cave is to your left as you emerge fom the trees.
About 8 km from Inglewood, head east on Rata St toward Rimu St, continue on Tarata Rd , left onto Bristol Rd, then left into Everett Rd.
There are 3 entrances to the Park ,but if you park at s39 6.80250 e 174 17.00190, which is a carpark beside the road and the entrance to the cave walking track. A short walk to the cave is quite scenic. At fork in the track go left and you are nearly there. A shallow but large cave apparently has glowworms visible at night.
There are swimming holes nearby to cool off in on a hot day.
