WHERE:
We will meet at 6:00 a.m. at the
Ramona Cafe or Denny's (choose one) in Ramona for a pre-run
breakfast. Skillet also has a group meeting at the Los Coches
Denny's in Lakeside at 6:30. We will let you know where we are
going there........unless you can't wait, then just e-mail us.
We're leaving promptly at 7:30 from the above coords. We will be
doing 35 miles of off road driving, but most of it is easy
stuff.
BRING:
Pack drinks, munchies, and a lunch
etc. for the day.
Also bring chairs, or pull up a rock. We have a
cool spot for lunch picked out.
WHO:
Everyone is welcome including geodogs and
kids.
WHAT:
An off-road cruise that most vehicles
can do, you just need some clearance to get over a few rocks along
the trail. There are a few caches along the way, especially at the
end of the run. Again, e-mail us for a wpt. to start your PQ
from.
TIME:
We ran the 35 miles in under 4 hours
including some caches and a lunch stop at a leisurely pace. There
is one obstacle involved and a few rocks to go over. This should be
lots of fun, hope to see you there!

BBQ !!!!!
We decided that because you will be
hungry after caching and Jeepin' all day that we would have an
official HOT DOG BBQ at SKILLETs Go to wpt. GC19J6W for
coordinates, it's right along Split Mtn. Road. IF, you prefer
something else to BBQ, then bring it and throw it on the BBQ. IF,
you want to bring something to share with everyone, of course,
bring that also. You should still have your drinks with you. Since
we will all be out Jeepin' with everyone else, we're keeping it
simple.
TIME: 5:30
CAMPING:
Some of you have asked about camping
in the area. SKILLET has generously suggested that you may
stay at his place ~ DRY CAMPING ONLY!
If you need facilities, then down the road is Ocotillo Wells ORV
area that has restrooms and camping available, for
free!

BREAKFAST CHANGES:
Breakfast in Ramona will now be at
6:00 am so we can leave promptly at
7:30. We probably will have to split
up and have half of you eat at the Dennys at the South side of town
right on Hwy. 67. The Ramona Cafe is just too small to accommodate
all of us, but we will still meet in the parking lot there at
7:30 to
leave.
SKILLET is meeting with more
cachers at the Dennys at Los Coches Road in Lakeside at
6:30 and will leave from there
to the starting point for the run.
Also if 6:00am is to early you have the option of meeting
up at the start of the run at 9:00am.
