Conserving our Heritage Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

crane2: I went to restock the cache tonight and saw that it had unfortunately been muggled with the hiding place completely open. I knew word had passed around over time as I have had several students come up to me and tell me about it over the past year. [}:)]

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This location reflects on local history and is a community project involving Council, service clubs, schools, churches etc, which is typical for projects in this special town.

The cache contains a stashnote, log sheet, pencil and sharpener and is suitable for small swaps only. In addition it has some of my pathtags in it. Feel free to keep or move on, whichever you wish. You can log pathtags at the Pathtags website. Remember: If you take something from the cache, leave something in its place. Trade fair.

Please take care to return the cache carefully to its hiding place, so that it remains hidden and survives.

The cairns you can see dotted throughout the park indicate flood levels of the River Murray at various times. They depict the way that farmers traditionally stacked up rocks, collected from their paddocks, but they also represent the method of building pyramidical survey points.
