This small cache’s hiding place used to provide a sneak view of the
fountains and dams of the 9th hole of the Wingate Park Country Club
golf course. It has now been moved to a safer location further away
from the 9th, but you will still pass the course as you drive in on
your way to the new location.
For those not familiar with the golf term, "Fore!" is shouted as a
warning during a golf game when it appears possible that a golf
ball may hit other players or spectators. The term means "ahead",
and it is believed to come from the military "beware before", which
was shouted when a battery fired behind friendly troops.
(ref. Wikipedia)
It is unlikely you may drift into the 9th hole’s fairway when
looking for the new cache, except for the wayward shot that might
come your way if your GPS is really misbehaving, so “beware
before”. However, when I play golf, the fairway is a safe place for
other people to be!
At the entrance boom, normally no questions are asked, sometimes
just a security token given. Apart from golf, there is also tennis,
bowls and even a running club.
