Come to an exciting and fun day at Blydenburgh County Park for a friendly geocaching scavenger hunt competition hosted by LIGO members!
Meet at Picnic Area #1 at 10:00AM. Coffee & bagels will be provided in the morning. Pack your own picnic lunch.
You will need only a GPS to participate in this event, but we highly recommend bringing some swag, and a tote bag for convenience.
Donations to help cover the event costs will be gladly accepted and greatly appreciated.
Please RSVP on this webpage whether you are attending and are participating (along with your estimated team size) so that we are sure to have enough supplies and materials for everyone.
You do not have to participate in the scavenger hunt to attend this event. Come if only to meet & greet and do some geocaching in this park.
Teams must be a minimum of 2 people and a maximum 6 people, with an elected team captain. Geocachers attending solo can be matched to a team at the event.
Teams must be signed in by 10:30AM. Rules, lists, and coordinates for temporary event caches will be provided by 10:45AM. The hunt will be from 11:00AM – 3:00PM. At 3:00PM we will meet back, tally scores and award prizes to 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place teams. Prizes TBA at the event.
