Während dem Zweete Weltkrich, zwëschen Februar an August 1944, hun sech 122 Refraktäre (dt.: Kriegsdienstverweigerer) virun der däitscher Gestapo (Ofkierzung fir 'Geheime Staatspolizei') an der Minn vum 'Hondsbësch' verstoppt.

During World War II, from February to August 1944, 122 conscientious objectors took cover from the German Gestapo (contraction of 'Geheime Staatspolizei', eng.: Secret State Police) in the mine of this forest, called 'Hondsbësch'.
