This cache is on a ridge that requires a short hike through desert terrain and provides a great view of the surrounding canyon.
Not far after the pavement ends on Apache Trail you will find an old cattle corral on the left. Turn here and you can drive just past the corral and park. You will have step over or walk around the huge stalks of several fallen desert agave on your way. And of course since you are in the desert you will have to watch out for all dangerous desert dwelling insects & animals!
The container is an airtight green ammo box. FTF will get a newly activated Papa Grande travel bug. Original contents also include a deck of playing cards, a small roll of TP (hey you never know), sunglasses, flashlight, band-aids, lens cleaners, pen, pencil, logbook and last but not least a pencil sharpener. **Please do not take the sharpener!**
Be sure to try out the multiple echoes in the canyon before you leave. Also, there is a car in the canyon on the right. A reminder to drive safely on your way back down Apache Trail...
