Geocache Description:

This three stage multi cache will take you on a walk around the top of Earystane Plantation. The route will take an hour or so and is muddy at the best of times, so boots are essential. Warm clothing is also necessary as the terrain is high and exposed.

Warning to dog owners: The farmer uses the plantation to move his sheep between adjoining fields.

South Barrule from Earystane

South Barrule and Cringle Plantation from Earystane.

The plantation of spruce was established between 1964-1968 and lies between the A36 and A27 roads. Enter Cringle Great Park at the gate and follow the rough track to the plantation entrance.

Starting point.

After entering the plantation, turn left and follow the given coordinates to the first micro. This contains the coords to the second micro and the second to the final cache, a 5 litre plastic lock box, room for big swaps and those larger Travel Bugs. From there, continue following the path to complete the circuit back to the gate.
Limited roadside parking is available near the gate to Cringle Great Park, opposite Cronk ny Arrey Laa. A slightly larger parking area is available at a turn-off on the bend in the road, sign-posted as Unsuitable for Motor Vehicles.
