Il Doss Le Grave è posto ad un'altitudine di 1000m circa ed è
facilmente raggiungibile dal Lago di Santa Colomba in meno di
mezz'ora di camminata superando un dislivello non impegnativo.
The Doss The Grave is at an altitude of about 1000m and is easily
accessible from Lake Santa Colomba in less than half an hour's walk
passing an easy climb.
ITALIANO
Questo Biotopo tutelato comprende due tipologie
ambientali tra loro estremamente diverse: una zona umida ed una
zona arida, dislocate rispettivamente ai piedi e sui fianchi di un
piccolo rilievo indicato sulle carte topografiche come "Doss Le
Grave". Il termine dialettale "grave", con tutte le sue varianti
locali, indica attualmente un ghiaione, un cumulo di ghiaia oppure
un luogo ove si scaricano ghiaia o sassi. La porzione del Doss Le
Grave inclusa nel Biotopo si presenta proprio costituita da una
gran quantità di "ghiaia" di porfido che conferisce al territorio
un aspetto "semidesertico" molto suggestivo.
L'origine di questo particolare ambiente è legata all'attività
umana: l'imponente accumulo di ghiaia e sassi è infatti costituito
da materiale di scarto derivante dall'attività estrattiva
dell'argento che, negli anni dal 1000 al 1500 circa, ha interessato
tutto l'altopiano del Calisio-Argentario.
Consiglio
di imboccare il sentiero che parte dalla strada asfaltata 20 m dal
parcheggio, e svoltare al bivio indicato (entrambi
waypoint).
Una volta raggiunta la sommità del dosso
bisognerà proseguire in cresta fino all'arrivo di 2 miniere
abbandonate.
La cache è di piccole dimensioni (1/2 litro) e contiene:
- logbook
- matita
- kodak usa e getta
- bombe d'acqua
- TB UNXPQP "Kapan, Armenia" (Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug)
- libretto con indicazioni sul geocaching
- molletta
- plettro per chitarra o basso
Questa cache contiene una macchina fotografica usa e getta. Se
volete fate 1-2 foto a voi o al paesaggio. Quando le foto finiranno
verranno pubblicate sul sito.

This "Biotopo" includes two protected environments
between their very different: a wetland and an arid zone, located
respectively at the foot and on the sides of a small relief
indicated on maps as "Doss The Grave". The portion of Doss The
Grave included in Biotopo is precisely consists of a lot of
"gravel" porphyry which gives the territory a very impressive
aspect. The origin of this particular environment is linked to
human: the impressive accumulation of gravel and pebbles is made up
of waste material resulting from the mining of silver that in the
years from 1000 to around 1500, has affected all the plateau of
Calisio-Argentario.
I encourage you to take the path
that starts from the asphalt road 20 metres from the car park, and
turn at the fork indicated (both waypoints on the listing).
Once you have reached the top of the hill must continue until the
arrival of 2 abandoned mines.
