Geocache Description:

A little birdie whispered in my ear while I was visiting Woodstock City Park the other day. Woodstock wants some help sprucing up his home for spring. 9AM Saturday April 26th. Shelter #3 has been reserved for us.

The past 3 years I've worked with George, a cacher and city park supervisor, to organize work parties at Munden Point City Park in Virginia Beach. This year George has moved to Woodstock City Park in the Kempsville area of the city. Woodstock is a 30 acre park in the middle of the city with lots of options for the entire family. Options include a skate park, playground equipment, picnic areas, dog park, tennis, basketball, a new walking trail created by flxble's son and more. (visit link)

This will not be a traditional "trash out" event. The park is really pretty clean so George is plotting projects for us. Possible work options could be painting picnic shelters, painting the office, a landscaping project and the ever popular spredding of mulch.

So wear old clothes, bring your work gloves and come show the city how much we appreciate the parks.

We will start at 0900 with 2-3 hrs of work. Remember, many hands make light work. We will plan for a pot luck lunch after our work is finished. I'll have meats and cheeses for sandwiches. Please bring a side dish or desert to share. Please post a "will attend" or a "note" with the number in your group for planning purposes. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.......
