You can drive on a fair dirt road to within 100 ft. of this cache with a high clearance vehicle. The last .2 mile is a bit rough for a regular car. Most of the year, there will be water below, but if there's a long, hot period, you may see cracked, dry mud. Nice 360 degree view from here.
I'm starting out the cache with some nice goodies: jade cell phone ornament, Chinese silk tissue holder, wooden comb, nice soap, sewing kit, etc., and $5 for FTF.
Lots of cachers seem to be doing a lot of hiking so I have added a "hint" (4/11/08).
May 12, 2009: I was checking on some of my caches this morning. This one is in good shape, but the pond has almost disappeared. Come on, Rain!! You can still drive very near the cache, but it is a lot trickier to find the right road now, as someone has blocked off the direct route with a large load of dirt and rocks. So most of you will have to walk a bit farther.
