Geocache Description:

Almost half way up Grief Mt. with great views of the lake the mouth of Pack River (the flats) and the Islands. Take your camera and take some pictures

a nalgen bottle with NIC insignia and a few North Idaho College trinkets to commemorate our daughter "Pickle" going to school there. Tucked in amongs the rocks. Only a third of a mile from the hiway but a elevation gain of nearly 600' with intermitant game trails as you scratch your way up thru the steep rocks along some rocky spines. I took an hour to get up as far as I did when I set this cache. There is lots more of Gief Mt. above that but I'll save that for later. you can park off the hiway and climb from fountain there or like I did, go almost toTrestle Creek. I parked at 48 17.203 X 116 21.145. A large paved pull off area and pulled all the way to the East end where I parked and then walked cross the hiway and up the hill on steep game trails. There is private property to both sides of you as you climb away from the hiway here and I do have permission to climb this direction but please respect the land and the owner's rights.
