Along the Brodhead Creek Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Brodhead Creek Park in Stroud Township. This park is open from dawn to dusk. Please do not attempt the cache at night.

It is a short walk from the parking area. Take the path along the creek. The cache is a small sized thermos type container. Watch out for muggles here, lots of them enjoy taking their dogs for walks down the pathways.

As you walk along the bank of the Brodhead Creek, you will see the destruction caused by the floods of 2006. You will see several piles of downed trees that had been washed away from the creek banks and have just piled up downstream. The silt and sand that once covered the bottom of the creek has even been deposited on the higher ground.
