Geocache Description:

Located along a small creek near Parkville, one of our favorite places to explore in the summertime.

This is our first regular cache, as well as our first multi cache. The best location to park is near the bridge down the street from the coordinates given for the first stage, there is a large turn off and it's a place frequently used by people exploring the creek, Adam and I usually go down to the creek bed near where we park and walk along the creek bottom, but in wet weather you may have walk through a little bit of water. The water seldom gets deeper then ankle deep, and lots of rocks to climb on make it unlikely you will have to get wet, if you decide to get your feet wet though watch out for leeches...seriously, I found that out last summer the hard way. In really wet weather this cache won't be possible as the creek starts running faster and doing anything near fast moving water is never a good idea, come back in a day or two and the creek will be back to it's normal gentle self. It's completely on public property but the first stage does come close (within 50 feet) to an area that is private property, do not cross any fences and you will be in good shape. This is one you will want to tackle during the day time, the terrain can be rough, but adventurous kids should be able to tackle it with you without any problem whatsoever, it shouldn't take more than half an hour or so to get this one. Stage one gives you the coordinates to stage two (of course!)

We started this full of nifty stuff, a couple Travel Bugs, and some bags for CITO along with gloves, this creek isn't a huge magnet for trash, but there is enough around to warrant a CITO opportunity, it's a nice location and any trash we can keep out of there will make it better for everyone!

Best of Luck!
