This is the rebirth of the "America The Beautiful" with some changes. The original "America The Beautiful" was one of the oldest multi-part cache in Maryland. This rebirth continues the cache in the spirit of the original cache.
This is a not too hard 4 stage multi-part cache. The trails that you will be on are in Little Bennett Regional Park and it will take you on a 2.6 mile loop from the parking lot to the caches and back. The hardest part is the hill from the parking lot to the first cache. Stages 1, 2 and the final are small lock-n-lock, stage 3 is a micro. All the stages are a short distance from the trail (less then 70 feet), so minimal bushwhacking is needed. Depending on the time of the year, stage 1 can have some thorns, there a small deer path that skips most of the thorns. The other stages are closer to the trail, they require almost no bushwhacking, only a few thorns at the final.
The theme of this cache is the good old United States of America so please swap patriotic related items.
The trail head and parking are at N39° 15.958 by W077° 16.816, just off of Clarksburg Road. Start your hike on Logger's Trail, yes, that is a steep hill to start your hike.
Once you have found the final cache site, on your way back to the parking lot, stop along the trail at N39° 15.630 by W077° 16.162 to see the old Kingsley School House (there used to be a fun bouncing bridge that crossed the creek, but they replaced it with a horse bridge).
