Facts about this molecule:

C7H8N4O2 is something that many of us sneak a nibble...bite...a pound(?) from time to time. The molecule is composed of 7 atoms of carbon, 8 atoms of hydrogen, 4 atoms of Nitrigen and 2 atoms of oxygen.

C7H8N4O2 gets a bad reputation for being fattening, it is not. Its bad reputation problem is its close association with C12H22O11.

It is found naturally in a bean from a particular tree.

C7H8N4O2, or theobromine, has a mild stimulating effect to humans but for dogs 100-200mg per kg of a dog's body weight can cause cardiac and central nervous system distress. For reference C7H8N4O2 in 100g of milk contains 200mg of theobromine.

There is some references indicating that C7H8N4O2 does not contain C8H10N4O2. While technically true, in it's pure form it would not. But, the bean that derives C7H8N4O2 contain some percentage of C8H10N4O2.

Here is a side by side comparison of C8H10N4O2 and C7H8N4O2 molecules:
