B&R stands for Bump and Run. This is a statement that race
car drivers use for one way to make a pass on another car on the
racetrack. Sometimes a driver literally bumps another car to get
the car loosened up to make the pass possible.
These caches are placed to commemorate the race track that runs
along the west end of the island. The Detroit Grand Prix ran on the
downtown streets from 1982 through 1991. At that time the track was
moved to Belle Isle and the race was held on the island from 1992
through 2001. There was no racing on the island until 2007 when the
track was reconfigured and rebuilt.
We are using B&R to identify park and grab 2 stage caches. At
the first stage you will be looking for coordinates that you grab
and run. The finals are almost all magnetic key holders.
