bullockj: Unfortunately some of the web sites have been taken over by a paid site, also my internet provider no longer offers web hosting services and lastly, the final is very near some major construction that will be going on for some time. Time to lay this one to rest

Geocache Description:

This cache is based on one of my other hobbies, genealogy. Genealogy involves identifying ancestral or descendant families by using historical records to establish biological, genetic, or familial kinship. To date I have 9738 people in my database going back to 1495. Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Dale of the 93rd. Highlanders, who lead his troops and was killed in action at New Orleans on January 8, 1815 (Battle of New Orleans) was a cousin of mine.

The cache is not at the coordinates given. These coordinates will lead you to the front gate of Cataraqui Cemetery. Cemeteries are a wealth of information for a genealogist. You will visit the graves of three of my relatives in Cataraqui, but only to gather information. There is nothing hidden in the cemetery, you do not have to dig, turn, open or climb anything. The clues are in the headstone inscriptions.

First: visit the grave at N44 16.029 W076 32.363. Look for a headstone with the first name Jemima. (My grandmother)

Second: visit the grave at N44 15.824 W076 32.469 and find Jemima’s husband (my grandfather)

Third: visit the grave at N44 16.125 W076 32.459 and find their son. (Actually Jemima’s step son) (my uncle)

To answer the remaining questions these websites may be handy:

The final cache is a medium sized camouflaged Lock & Lock container. It can be found at coordinates
N44 ab.cde W076 fg.hij

Where:
ab = Day of month Jemima was married
cde = The year Jemima and her family immigrated to Canada - 1393
fg = (Son’s chest girth fully expanded in 1915) - 1
My uncle’s wife lived with her mother and 3 sisters in 1911. Two of the sisters worked as weavers in the local cotton mill
hij = (Annie’s earning + Loretta’s earnings in 1910)+154
