Geocache Description:

Downtown, and readily visible. Stealth is a must.

This is the second of a number of caches I'm hoping to start to provide some cacher interest in the centennial year of my home town. In 2007 the fire department raised some national (Canadian) interest by posing run-of-the-mill people who volunteer on the fire department, in a calendar with strategically placed items hiding what was not covered otherwise. As there are people with very keen interest in the local buildings, and their goings-on...I have created a number of clues to strategically locate the location of the cache, which would normally be disguised. Hopefully this will result in a chance for a quick snatch and log, before creating too much interest from the local gossipers. Kind of a reversal of things. Below are a list of comments that may have been heard on the scene of a fire, which if figured out completely will lead to the cache in about 30 seconds, otherwise...hope it works out for some and becomes a bit of a challenge before-hand, rather than on scene.

1."what was the color of the ash left after that last fire?"
2."every time I climb the ladder, it seems as though everything I see below me is about 2 inches off the ground"
3."the most likely place for structural stability to be located is where the 2 walls meet at a corner"
4."whatever you do, ensure you don't happen to get trapped under anything"
5."the foundation can be the most stable location for anyone to be situated"
6."placing the vehicle between me and the source provides a barrier from the heat"
7."once you put on the uniform, you appear to get a magnetic personality"
8."the size of ones fire truck is not necessarily related to the quality of vehicle you drive. Sometimes smaller is better...fits into tougher terrain"
9."things with the incident are coming near to a de'fence'ive condition"
10."if you can't see anything because of the smoke, bend down and feel around with you hands. Let them be your eyes!"

Good luck, hope you get it. Beware of muggles, and especially the ones that might be peeking through their windows. Pen or pencil required, log book may require tweezers.
