This cache is placed as a part of the Northern Armstrong County Cache Avalanche of 2008 or NACCA 2008. During NACCA 2008, some 15 or more caches were placed in mostly the northern part of the county in an initiative to introduce several new and sometimes challenging caches in the area.
This cache is placed at the location of a very pretty waterfall. I used to visit this place as a kid. I used to take pictures of the falls in the different seasons. In the spring and summer there were a lot of flowers and plant life that were pretty. Fall was nice with all of the leaves changing color. But my favorite pictures of the falls are from winter time. Especially when there is snow covering everything and icicles all over the place.
The cache is a 50 cal. ammo box. I know you’re probably all thinking “Is he serious?? Does he know how to do anything other than micros?” Well the answer is YES. LOL!! I’ve been wanting to do a traditional ammo box for a while, but just hadn’t had the right location. My boys were really excited about this one and were in charge of filling it with swag. So, as you might have guessed, it’s filled with toys. They also wanted to put a camera in for everyone to take their picture with so they could see who’s checking out their cache.
The cache should be a pretty easy find. Nothing to tricky or out of the ordinary with this one other than you may want to use a little caution with the terrain. Just wanted everyone to be able to see the pretty falls.
