Geocache Description:

Rest n' Peace 17 - Emma's Cache

17th in the Rest n' Peace Cache Series

Thanks to CJ for turning us onto this cemetery.  Though I've been by it many many time, I didn't think about a cache till CJ brought it up and the light bulb came on.  This is the Old Bruch's Cemetery in the little town of Wind Gap, PA.  The coordinates take you to the sign.  The aerial photo and the photo to the right will take you to the cache.  It's a plastic bottle that contains a log and can hold some small items.

This is a quite little cemetery and there are quite a few old stones here too.  The cache is wheelchair/scooter accessible and attainable by those with physical disabilities.

As with all cemetery caches, please respect those who rest here.

Coordinates are for Parking
PARKING IS LIMITED: Pull off right by the sign

Emma is a little girl just 10 months old when the Lord called her home. She rests all by herself in the corner of  the cemetery.  Relatives seem absent from adjoining plots, but God knows her well and where she's at; every time I walk through an 1800's cemetery I thank God for modern medicine and all that has been done in medical science.  Now whooping cough, diphtheria, dysentery, and the multitude of other historical childhood diseases are all but a distant memory.  Next time you watch your children or grandchildren play and run around, think about Emma and when you do this cache and you think about it, drop a flower off on Emma's grave and thank God for all his blessings. The cache you will find close by.
