The cache container was traded out on 6-24-2008 for a larger size and is now camouflaged it to make it blend a bit better to it's surroundings.
I found this spot by accident and it was one of the best views I have ever seen looking north towards Novato and the Mt. Burdell Open Spaces. This is a great spot at an elevation of 940'. Enjoy the view!
As I was coming up towards Kenneray's "Calf Resting" I could see a rugged trail that was leading up to Big Rock Ridge. Since I was just getting warmed up I wanted to head up a little higher and place a cache since I had a small container with me. As you will see when you get to the "Calf Resting" cache site, I wasn't able to place it on THAT trail.
The two "legal" ways to get to this cache are: 1) Follow the connecting fire road located off of the service road behind Indian Valley College up to the Montura Fire Road, then just follow it up the hill (short way, about 1 mile one way); or 2)Start at the end of Eagle Drive, take the Eagle Trail up to the Montura Fire Road and pick up a few extra caches this longer way. Either way, you will come to a 4-corner junction in the trails at N38 04.123, W122 35.429. The cache is a short distance up from there.
