Happy Lake #2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

_hobbit: Due to the nature and location of the cache, it's unlikely this one has survived the monsoon rains we've had over the past couple of months.
I'm unable to verify whether or not it's still there and don't want anyone to waste their time for a cache that is no longer there.

Geocache Description:

A moderate hike through the woods. New trails have been cleared (Winter '08). Excellent hiking area!

When I was a kid (shortly after dirt was invented) a large part of this area was used as an archery course for hunters to practice on. Some trails and lots of signs on trees still remain. New trails have been cleared and it is now an excellent hiking area! You may also come across several benches to rest and enjoy the nature around you.

The hike is not difficult, just take your time and be sure of your footing. The woods are not overgrown right now (January) so going cross-country off the trails is pretty easy, but this trek will be much more difficult in the spring and summer.

During the spring and summer months, you will need to take serious precautions for mosquitos and ticks and always be mindful of animal hazards that can be found in any wooded area, especially snakes.

Parking coordinates shown below are the ONLY parking to use for the Happy Lake caches.
No hints! It's a difficulty 4 -- not supposed to be easy!
Please replace EXACTLY as and where you found it.
Thanks and Happy Caching at Happy Lake!

fyi - Often, if you take the time to read the whole cache description you may find information that you will wish you had known before you went geocaching. This is that kind of information. If you look for the three Happy Lake caches in this order: 2,3,1 you will discover that you can easily get from parking to all three caches using one nice, clear trail. Happy Caching!
