Geocache Description:

The first ever event in this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). If you like amazing countryside / wildlife and quality caches, then this is the event for you.


Cherry Orchard Farm
, Newland is a small and unspoilt working farm in beautiful surroundings. Camping in a good size field is available here all weekend (or longer if required). The main event will take place on Saturday 9th August, with newly published listings being handed out on the day.
Everyone is invited to attend an informal evening BBQ and social get together.

The campsite is within a mile of the River Wye, the Forest of Dean and Offa's Dyke. Attractions such as Tintern Abbey, Symonds Yat Rock with it's Peregrine Falcons are also very close by.

Camping £5 pppn
Dogs and babies stay for free
Caravans and campers are welcome at the same rates
Day visitors £1 per car
Facilities include toilets and a shower. Electric hook-up will not be available, though we will provide a battery charging facility. Pitches can be booked on 01594 832212.

Those staying longer may want to try the 12th century Ostrich Inn in the picturesque village, which is renowned for it's fine ales and good food.

There are plenty of high quality caches in the area and a guide will be provided to help you identify your particular cache likes / dislikes.

Several new caches will be published at the event for those who like to chase the odd FTF.

B&B is available very nearby at Cherry Orchard Farm, The Ostrich Inn, Tan House, Millend House and Rookery Farmhouse for starters.
