Geocache Description:

Spring Geocaching Quest: Mounds State Park!
"Adena and Hopewell!"

This geocache was created by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks and Reservoirs to promote geocaching in the Indiana State Parks and Reservoirs in the spring of 2008. It is part of a larger contest. Each cache in this series (search "spring geocaching quest") has a special stamp that corresponds to a spot on the official gamepiece available for download on the bottom. There are a total of 24 different caches located in 24 different state parks, recreation areas, or reservoirs. Though not needed to log the cache, participants may find enough caches to complete 5 in a row or mark all the perimeter stamps to make a square to win the grand prize!

Completed gamepieces need to be postmarked by July 7, 2008 and mailed to:

Spring Geocaching Quest
c/o Indiana Dunes State Park
1600 N 25 E
Chesterton IN, 46304

Drawings will be held in two categories:
All geocachers with 5 in a row
All geocachers with a "square"

Prizes include $100 gift certificates from the Indiana State Park Inns, 2008 DNR Annual Passes, free weekend camping passes, gift certificates from Cabelas, and more! Random gift certificates from Dick's Sporting Goods are hidden throughout the states for geocachers to find as well!

The Spring Geocaching Quest also cooresponds with the new DNR Hoosier Quest program, promoting education of our natural and cultural resources to kids of all ages. To earn your Hoosier Quest pin visit a state park nature center to begin your quest!

The usual State Park admission is required ($2.00 bicycle, $4.00 in-state weekday, $5.00 weekend, or $7.00 out of state vehicles). Whether you visit our great State Parks and Reservoirs for a day or an entire weekend, we hope you get out and see all that Indiana has to offer. Good Luck!!!

The "IDNR Spring Geocaching Quest" series meets all guidelines set forth in the IDNR Geocaching Policy. If you are interested in placing a geocache in an Indiana State Park or Reservoir, please review our policy at: Link
