Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to TheBlueFox who just loves caching in cemeteries. What more could she ask for than to wander around two at the same time.

The Gresham Pioneer Cemetery property, bordered by Johnson Creek on the east and Escobar Cemetery on the south, once belonged to I. I. and Sarah Moore. Miyo Iwakoshi, believed to be the first Japanese person to live in Oregon, is buried here. Founded in 1859.
The Escobar Cemetery is named for Frank Escobar who arrived in Gresham around 1902. Escobar, who was considered a character, died in 1946 and is buried in neighboring Forest Lawn Cemetery. Gresham Pioneer Cemetery is adjacent to the north. Founded in 1914.
