birthplace!
The Gingerbread Man was created by the
Muffin Man.
He is a small and fast runner, making him
difficult to catch. In the first Shrek movie, Lord farquaad broke
off both his legs to torture him and prevent him from running away.
In the process, one of the legs was crumbled to pieces. At the end
of the movie, the intact leg was reattached using frosting and
Gingy used a candy cane as a crutch to make up for missing his
other leg.
By Shrek 2, he somehow got his missing leg
replaced, also attached with frosting.
In Shrek the Third, when threatened by
Prince Charming and Captain Hook, Gingy's whole life flashes before
him, and it is revealed that Gingy took months of painful exercise
and rehabilitation to make his new leg strong. He also seems to be
or was married, has children, and owns and rides a small toy car.
He begins singing "On the Good Ship Lollipop" in
delirium....
