Geocache Description:

Muck and Beyond is an adventure that begins and ends at the parking and picnic area on the A36 Ballakillowey Road. 1km of the walk is on the road, so be careful, especially on the bends and keep a close eye on children and dogs. The anti-clockwise route is marked in red on the map below. It is a four stage multi-cache consisting of one actual micro, two virtuals and a final cache. The terrain, as the title suggests, is mucky and muddy and boots are essential for much of the year.
Bring a pen and paper for some simple maths.

    From the parking area, walk down the road for about 200m to the stile in the wall, next to a road sign. If you have a dog it may need to be lifted over here and at the next stile, just over the wall. If your dog is too heavy, back up the road a little way is a wooden gate that leads into the same field. Keep dogs on leads at all times as there are cattle, sheep, ducks and geese on the trail.
    The first you may encounter are a gaggle of geese, their droppings litter the first two fields. Pass through the third field, now minus the dung heap , to the ladder over the hedge. Climb this into the next field, go through the big metal gate at the end and follow the grassy path to the posted coords.
    The micro cache here contains two sets of coordinates, these locations are very close to each other. Enter them into your GPSr and continue on to the farm-yard. Turn left and enter the field over the stile or through the gate. Cross this field into the next through the big metal gate and then to the wooden gates. There are ducks here, so control dogs and keep to the path.
    When approaching the first set of coords, given in the micro, look around, you will see some numbers. From this virtual you can work out the latitude of the final cache.

N 54° 06 ABC
A
=second minus fourth
B=third minus first
C=(third minus fourth) plus first

A little further along the path is the second virtual. Turn the corner and look for the information to answer the following. This will give you the longitude of the final cache.

W 004° 43 DEF
D
=Number of letters in last word of fifth line
E=Total number of Q's
F=Number of words on fourth line

Carefully input the numbers into your GPSr and move on to the final cache.

Be extra vigilant with children at the end of the trail. The road can't be seen from the path and the approach is sudden.
