Geocache Description:

New York Sun editor John B. Bogart is claimed to have said "When a dog bites a man, that is not news, because it happens so often. But if a man bites a dog, that is news."

And so it was when I, Rnold, got bitten by a dog...... actually two dogs...... both Yodadog and Alphadog..... it was not news.

The first bite was from Yodadog in search of his cache "Mirror Image" ...... and it was right in the seat of the pants with a "DNF".... a blue face. After searching for two weeks in anticipation of my first find... failure..... and then it turns out the cache was missing..... a "poof". Some dirty dog stole it.

The second bite was from Alphadog in search of his cache "Bits, Nibbles and Bytes V 2.01"...... but this was a byte of a different kind..... and I did finally get that first find.

Now I am truly bitten.... bitten by the geocaching bug..... or should I say, by the geocaching dog(s). Yes, together these two dogs sparked an interest in geocaching for me..... and I owe them both a bark of gratitude. And for that reason I'd like to make them part of something newsworthy ..... I'd like to bite them back.

I can see the headlines now, "Rnold Bites Two Dogs"..... or I'll just settle for, "Man Bytes Dog"

Hopefully my efforts are newsworthy. I have rated this cache a 4.0/2.0, but I will let the dogs give it its final rating .... that is if they care to be the first to bite....... end of dedication.

So, speaking of bite, I had decided to hide this cache in a dog food can and my puppy, Omegadog, suffering from the pains of toothing and a mixed dentition and who bites everything in sight, got a hold of it and sank her teeth into it.... an omen..... toothmarks. Most of us have seen CSI... well you will have to resort to forensic dog bite analysis to solve this one.

Your clue(s)to finding this cache is in this bite mark.

I identified and measured the bite marks as follows:

The upper left 1st baby premolar was 3.8 mm deep while
the baby tooth 2 mesial to it was 3.3 mm deep;

the lower left baby canine was 3.1 mm deep while
it's mirror image was 1.4 mm deep (a "mirror image" to honor Yodadog);

the 7th permanent tooth from midline upper left was 3.2 mm deep while
the permanent tooth 4 mesial to the tooth occluding it was 3.5 mm deep;

the 1st baby tooth from midline lower left was 3.3 mm deep while
the baby tooth 00110100 distal to it was 3.6 mm deep; ( a "byte" to honor Alphadog..... so as not to confuse anyone, the byte "00110100" translates to the number 4)

the permanent tooth just right of the midline lower right was 3.2 mm deep;

the upper left 1st permanent molar was 2.5 mm;

the baby tooth occluding upper left baby 2nd premolar was 2.7 mm deep

the 4th baby tooth right of midline upper right was 2.4 mm deep;

the upper right permanent central incisor was 1.6 mm deep

the upper right permanent 4th premolar was 2.1 mm deep while
the permanent tooth distal to it was 3.7 mm deep.

Now convert this into the coordinates and the FTF will claim a $25 gift certificate to Petco.
Enjoy and good luck.

To expedite finding the cache I have placed a dog tag in plain sight...... that's right, a little dog tag, but it is in plain sight...... and it has imprinted on it the number of feet within which the cache is located. The cache itself is in none other than a dog food can...... but it is not in plain sight...... see if you can sniff it out.
